The ADJA Delivers a Qualification Programme for Employees from the ADAA to Obtain the Judicial Officer Capacity

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy (ADJA) is conducting a basic qualification training programme for a number of employees (1st batch for 2022) from the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) before they are granted the judicial officer capacity.

This training programme being delivered is part of the efforts made to develop the capacity of national cadres and empower them with the necessary knowledge to perform their professional duties in inspecting and monitoring entities subject to supervision in accordance with specific legal controls, in a manner that reinforces the principles of transparency, integrity and efficient use of financial resources.

The Academy explained that the training programme preceding the award of the judicial officer capacity adopts international best practices in terms of human resource qualification, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), to strive for excellence and quality in service delivery, in order to support the development of institutional performance and achieve sustainable development in various sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

In detail, the programme delivered by the ADJA is designed to qualify candidates to obtain the capacity of judicial officer to achieve the mission of their government agency by monitoring the entities regulating public and private services falling under their jurisdiction, to consolidate the principles of integrity and transparency and to ensure that public funds are managed, collected and spent efficiently and safeguarded in a manner that ensures the sustainable welfare of present and future generations, to ascertain any financial and administrative violations and to enforce sound management practices, in order to preserve the reputation of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and confidence in its financial and economic system.

The programme also focuses on providing the candidates for the judicial officer capacity with the necessary skills to develop mechanisms to protect the financial resources of the Emirate through monitoring operations, to improve the quality of control and its governing legal systems, in addition to enabling them to play their role in overseeing the financial and operational activities of government agencies, companies and related projects in which the government owns 25% or more of the capital, by ensuring the legality and quality of resource management in entities subject to the control of the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority.
