The Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy has succeeded in doubling the training activities and approved training hours it provides to the participants in its various programms during the past year compared to the previous year. During the first half of this year, the Academy provided 2,261 hours, and in 2020, it provided 2,419 training hours, while during the first half of this year it provided 76 training activities with a total of 3,048 training hours.

This was announced during a media forum organized by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, entitled "The Efforts and Initiatives of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy", during which Dr. Sami Al-Toukhi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, spoke, noting that the total number of participants in the activities implemented by the Academy amounted to 3,920 trainees during the past year. compared to 2427 trainees in 2020, while the number of trainees during the first half of this year reached 2420.

        On his part, Dr. Sami Al-Toukhi stressed the Academy’s interest in developing the electronic training system, and adopting the latest methods adopted in training globally, in order to achieve the desired goals of qualifying national cadres scientifically and practically according to the highest standards, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates,, Minister of the Presidential Court, Chairman of the Judicial Department, and the direct supervision of Chancellor Youssef Saeed Al-Abri, Undersecretary of the Judicial Department, chairman of the Academy’s board of directors, to canonize  legal professions to ensure the quality of relevant judicial and legal work.

He touched on the most important and prominent programms implemented by the Academy, including the Legal Researchers Program "Accredited Government Legal Adviser" in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Governmental Academy, which is specifically designed for researchers and employees holding a bachelor's degree in law in government agencies, and includes 25 training modules dealing with federal and local laws and legislation, its practical applications and methods of legal interpretation.

He referred to the training programms for the purposes of registering lawyers and experts before the Abu Dhabi prosecutions and courts. The programms witnessed the graduation of seven batches of 81 lawyers from the foundational qualification program for lawyers during the past year, while two foundational qualification programms for experts were implemented, with the participation of 75 experts.

For his part, Rashid Khalifa Al Darmaki, Administrative Director of the Academy, referred to the implementation of basic training  programms  to qualify some Abu Dhabi government employees to grant them the capacity of judicial officers, through 15  programms  in which 264 employees participated during the past year, noting that the licensing programms  for public and private notaries public have witnessed the graduation of one batch for the year 2021 of government notaries, and two batches of private notaries.

He also highlighted the statistics of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Platform, which witnessed 545,000 visits over the past year, and 159 thousand visits during the first half of this year, while the number of lectures held on the platform reached 2,658 lectures during 2021, and 2458 lectures during the first half of 2022.

        In addition, Mona Al-Harbi, Head of the Legal Knowledge Section in the Judicial Department, reviewed efforts to promote the dissemination of legal knowledge and facilitate access to legal books and references by specialists from members of the judiciary and legal researchers, through the services of the Central Library, which includes 19,290 books specialized in law and its sciences noting that the number of subscribers to the library system is 1893.

At the end of the forum, the speakers thanked the media representatives for their efforts in publicizing the initiatives and achievements of the Judicial Department, while praising the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy staff, which contributed to achieving this leap in providing world-leading training services.
